The Architect is an evening-length solo choreographed by Mathew Janczewski, created in close collaboration with longtime artistic collaborator Timo Wagner. Developed over the course of their seven-year creative partnership, the work investigates authorship, intuition, vulnerability, and performer-driven creation while transforming the traditional black box theater into an evolving architectural landscape shaped through movement, fabric, text, and projection.

Conceived through Janczewski's collaborative creative process, the production featured performance by Timo Wagner, fabric and costume design by Margarita Jane Arguedas, projection design by Meena Mangalvedhekar, lighting design by Heidi Eckwall and dramaturgy/playwriting by Rachel Jendrzejewski. The Architect marked a significant evolution in Janczewski's choreographic practice, embracing deeper artistic nuance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and site-responsive theatrical design.
